I bought 2 of these slik slings v3 for an elk hunt in Montana during the rifle elk opener on Oct 24 of 2024– these slings were absolutely amazing— my son and I each had one of these slings and our hunting partner just had a regular rifle sling—
We all had Mystery ranch sawtooth backpacks on and our rifles and usually had 7.5 mile round trip excursions thru the mountains each day
We climbed over a lot of deadfall and I don’t know how we would have done it without these Slik slings— they stayed secured perfectly thru all our adventures— our other buddy struggled a lot with just an ordinary rifle sling— it kept slipping and we ended up tying it to the middle of the back of his backpack just to make it easier to get thru all that darn deadfall—
I am grateful to the owner Josh for his advise to use these and his video on how to assemble and use— not complicated at all
I would highly recommend the Slik Sling V3

I reviewed a number of products to meet a set of specific requirements and kept coming back to this sling. After the V3 drop, I purchased and received just in time for an Arizona Couse Deer hunt. Terrain is brutal and keeping gear secure is critical while hiking. I was pleased with my field experience and the sling exceeded all my requirements. Hands free hiking to use trekking poles, rifle 100% secure (Even while slipping and passing through mean desert brushes) and was easy & fast to release.

Got tired of the rifle slipping from my shoulder with a pack on and started searching for options to hold it in place. I was holding out for the new version of this Slik Sling while it appeared to meet all my requirements. Two weeks before my deer hunt and I get an email notification that the product was ready to order. It arrived in a week, quick assembly and soon I was off putting it to use chasing Couse Deer in Arizona. Did alot of hiking, climbing, pushing through brush and cat claw, slipping, etc. and happy to report my rifle stayed in place the whole while. Easy on, quick off and no issues with banging the scope or interference with other gear secured to my pack and waste. Was hands free and able to use trekking poles with ease when I needed them. Super impressed and the fellas I hunted with were jealous the whole hunt and are now placing their orders for the same setup since we got home. Hats off to the crew that built and refined this product.

I used this V3 sling during our rifle season for elk and deer. It was easy to install with your video and has worked great all season. I was looking for a better system that would fit my rifle with a cheek riser and this has been a great fit.
